ABOUT ME

MY PERSONAL STATEMENT From my tender age I have loved music. I loved listening to choir performances, jazz music, and blues and always got fascinated by the imaginative openness it launched me into. I believe it is not enough for me to only be a good musician but to understand the pressing issues that determine success as a musician. I found music as a means of communicating and an art of opening the imaginative domain of the soul and an instrument for social change. I have earned course certificates in the area of piano music, classical music in practice, Blues, Fundamentals of music, and musicianship from international institutions. I read online magazines like the livemusicawards.co.uk, Keyboard magazines which enlightens my desire for this course. The preeminent aspects of event entrepreneurship I desire are the areas of digital marketing, music promotions, and live studio productions. For community development, I have organized free workshops and music concerts in my community thereby impacting the life of the youths positively. I understand that change is the only constant variable, so one must be aware of the changes occurring in the Music Business world. Also I believe in order to know the future then I have to have a perfect understanding of the past music business world. Every professional has got its guiding principles, just like a sport man who is not guided by the ideas and principles of sportsmanship- including fair play and losing with grace so is the music artiste or music business man is also planning to fail without being equipped with the proper principles in the Music Business field. I also presented some teenagers and youths for internationally recognized music exams (ABRSM) theory and practical and they got good grades. In my leisure time I like reading motivational and inspirational books. My favorite sport is football. I love playing the piano and guitar also. I would also like to do more research on the areas of Classical and Jazz Harmony and music composition; I also speak English and Yoruba fluently. I was elected as the director of music for the Redeemed Christian corper fellowship at jigawa state Nigeria, which led me to be so active in the issues of directing coordinating and delivering music to worshippers. I am also the present director of music for the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria for the Jakande Estate chapter Oke –Afa Isolo Lagos. This opportunity to lead has enhanced my confidence in public performance .Also when I visited the USA, I was of immense value to the churches and individuals I came in contact. I taught many local and international (USA) church choirs, kids and teenagers music theory and how to play the Piano, Guitar, Drums. I love the piano and play to an intermediate extent. I see the spread of the internet and the rise of offline and online networks in these times, which in turn is used as a means of networking for all manner of business interests acting as a pointer for anyone who wants to be successful in the music business.
